BENTONG, Aug 17 (Bernama) -- Tengku Mahkota Pahang Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah called on the Pahang state government to carry out a study on establishing a satellite city for Bentong.
He said the satellite city could help reduce traffic congestion in Bentong and also during the festive seasons.
"Bentong is located very close to Kuala Lumpur, thus the area should be used as a whole, especially in term of infrastructure developments," he said at a a gathering with members of the public and handing over Hari Raya contributions at the Bentong district mosque here Wednesday.
He also said the satellite city would have economic spinoffs.
Also present were Pahang Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob and Health Minister and Member of Parliament for Bentong, Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai.
