Najib To Visit UMP Saturday

PEKAN, March 11 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak will visit Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) here Saturday to look into the university's development, its vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Daing Nasir Ibrahim said.
During the visit, he said, the prime minister would launch Green Tech, the university's recycling programme for used lubricants.
The UMP began operations on July 27, 2009 when with 2,480 students and 263 staff moved in from its temporary campus in Gambang.
Prof Daing Nasir told a news conference that at the moment, 12 per cent of 259ha of the university's land had been developed.
