A Joint Venture Agreement Signing Ceremony

Kuantan, 22 October – Tanjong Agas Supply Base and Marine Services Sdn. Bhd. (TASBMS) a developer and operator of Tanjong Agas Oil & Gas and Logistic Industrial Park today signed a joint venture agreement with the Oilfields Supply Centre Ltd (OSC), a Dubai based companies for the development of supply base facilities within the Tanjong Agas Oil & Gas and Logistic Industrial Park at Pekan, Pahang. OSC is an oilfields services company that has acquired and developed specialised technical, managerial and operational skill in building, owning and operating supply bases that support the oil, gas and power generation industries.
Chairman of TASBMS, His Highness Tengku Muda of Pahang, Tengku Abdul Rahman Al-Haj ibni Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah and OSC’s Director and General Manager of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Iqbal Mohammed Abdullah Abedin signed the joint venture agreement on behalf of their respective company. Witnessing the event was His Royal Highness The Sultan of Pahang, Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Mustai’in Billah ibni Al-Marhun Sultan Abu Bakar Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mu’adzam Shah.
The total initial investment is about RM620 million (USD$200 million) for the development of the supply base and the project will be jointly undertaken by OSC and TASBMS via a newly formed joint venture company known as Tanjong Agas Oilfields Supply Centre Sdn. Bhd. (TAOSC). The supply base will be developed on a land measuring 250 acres along a 1km shoreline with water depth of 20 metres.
Once completed, the supply base will offer a full range of support facilities and services for local and international companies that are involved in the offshore exploration, exploitation and production of oil and gas within the Malaysian waters as well as the regional waters of South China Sea and beyond.
