KUANTAN -- The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) targets 50 per cent broadband penetration in Pahang by the end of 2012.
MCMC Eastern Region director Mohd Shafie Harun said 127 telecommunications towers woukd be ready by 2012 to make this possible.
"We hope that with this goal, more people will be able to get information fast," he told reporters here today.
Earlier, Mohd Shafie had represented the Pahang Information Communication and Culture Committee in presenting aid contribution to the family of BernamaTV cameraman Noramfaizul Mohd Nor, who was killed during a humanitarian aid mission in Mogadishu early last month. - Bernama
