KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 21 (Bernama) -- Volkswagen Group Malaysia has collaborated with the Malaysian German Chamber of Commerce to address solutions for a sustainable mobility in Malaysia for the first Malaysian-German Sustainable Automotive Mobility Conference 2011.
In a statement Friday, Volkswagen said the conference would be a platform to present current and future technological developments in Malaysia and Germany.
The conference would also explore models and solutions for regulatory frameworks and ways of implementation in both countries in a dialogue-based approach, it said.
"It will bring together stakeholders involved in the development of strategies, policies, incentives, administrative, as well as technical infrastructures and technologies," it said.
Managing director, Ricky Tay, said Volkswagen would always share its thoughts to lower carbon dioxide emissions output with the philosophy of downsizing engine displacement through technologies such as the TSI (turbocharged stratified injection) engine.
"This conference will enable us to help discuss something we consider very important, which is nature," he said.
The conference is also part of Volkswagen's "Think Blue" campaign, which has been rolled out in more than 30 markets, and would hit the Malaysian shores on a full scale soon.
