Under the auspices of Invest Pahang, PKNP participated in the 11th World Fujian Convention – Trade Exhibition and Economic Forum, organized by the Federation of Hokkien Associations of Malaysia, held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) from November 7 to 9, 2024.
The convention brought together participants and exhibitors from various sectors and countries, aiming to expand business networks between Fujian, China, and Malaysia. It also served as a platform to explore new potential opportunities for participants, exhibitors, and visitors.
PKNP utilized this platform to share information about projects under its supervision, particularly regarding investment opportunities in the industrial sector in the state of Pahang. These efforts targeted investors visiting the Invest Pahang exhibition booth throughout the convention.
The World Fujian Convention 2024 was officiated by Dato’ Seri Mohammad bin Sabu, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, and further enlivened by the presence of representatives from ASEAN countries. Invest Pahang’s participation was recognized with the “Outstanding Contribution Award” by the organizers.
Also attending the opening ceremony were YB Dato’ Mohamad Nizar bin Dato’ Sri Mohamad Najib, Pahang State Executive Council Member for Investment, Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation; PKNP Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Mohd Faizal bin Jaafar; and officers from PKNP’s Industrial Division.
Invest Pahang’s participation was further strengthened by the involvement of the Pahang State Economic Planning Division (BPEN), Pahang State Secretary Corporation (PSK), University College of Yayasan Pahang (UCYP), Pahang Corporation Sdn. Bhd., and Kuantan Port Consortium Sdn. Bhd. (KPC).
