Kuantan Port
Kuantan Port is a modern world-class privatised port operated by the Kuantan Port Consortium Sdn Bhd since 1998. It is equipped with modern liquid cargo bulk terminal which has a capacity to handle more than seven tonnes of cargo.
Supported by dedicated port facilities and services to meet the ever demanding petrochemical industries, a vast market outreach and a strong network of global shipping connections have strengthen the position of Kuantan Port as a petrochemical hub port and a major container terminal of the East Coast region of Malaysia.
Location
Kuantan Port is situated at Tanjung Gelang on the eastern seaboard of the Peninsular Malaysia between latitude 03 58′ N, longitude 103 26.4′ E. It is about 25km north of Kuantan town, less than 8km from the Gebeng industrial area and Peramu, Pekan (the automotive cluster), 38km from Kuantan airport and approximately 220 kilometres away from Kuala Lumpur. It is connected to the major sea lanes of the shipping world, serving primarily the Pacific Rim, the Middle East, the Far East, Europe and ASEAN region.
Kuantan Port is also well-linked by road via East Coast Expressway and rail via Kerteh-Kemaman-Kuantan railroad to other parts of the Peninsular Malaysia and by air to major world destinations via Kuala Lumpur.

Port Facilities
The Port facilities include:

- Berth: 3,213 metres in length for multi-purpose berths, liquid chemical berths, palm oil berths mineral oil berths and container terminals.
- Storage: container, conventional, dangerous goods yard ( DG Yard) and tank storage.
- Equipment: container cranes, multipurpose cranes, tug boat, pilot boat, mooring boat, rubber-tyred gantry cranes, reach stackers, forklifts, prime movers and trailers.
- Third Party Storage: common pipe rack facilities.
Port Services
Among the major cargo components services that the port manages are handling of container, break bulk, dry bulk, liquid bulk and general cargo. The regular major tanker operators are Stolt Nielsen, MISC and Odfjell Tankers.
The port also provides marine, fire and securities as well as other port-related logistic services.
