Medical Care
Medical care is well provided for in Pahang where almost all districts are served with Government hospitals and clinics.
The main hospital of Pahang is the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital and Sultan Ahmad Shah Medical Centre (UIA) in Kuantan which is equipped with various modern equipment and medical facilities such as MRI and CT scanner. It also serves as a teaching hospital for the Medical Faculty of International Islamic University of Malaysia. Besides that, there are private hospitals namely the KMI Kuantan Medical Centre, KPJ Pahang Specialist Hospital, Pahang Medical Centre (PMC) and others that are located in Kuantan.
For outpatient treatment, general practitioners are available at private-owned clinics which are easily accessible in most housing estates. Suburbs such as Bandar Indera Mahkota are served with Government clinics.
